About Me
Hello.
My name is Dana Kalaher. I have been teaching in Benton since 2004. My Bachelor's degree is in General Education. My Master's degree is in Reading and Writing Development and Curriculum Design. During my time in education, I have instructed Title 1 Reading and Writing grades 2-5, Title 1 Math for Kindergarten, Computer instruction grades Kindergarten -4th grade, and recently taught 4th grade homeroom for 9 years. I love being a teacher!
I have been married for 29 years this October, to Todd Kalaher. Todd is a Veteran of the US Army and has recently retired from the IDOC. We have 2 amazing daughters, Emily and Alecia. Emily is 26 and Alecia is 23. We also have 2 pets. Roxie is our sweet Chocolate Lab and Reese Cup is our lazy cat. During the summer I love camping at Rend Lake. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I have a crazy collection of Gingerbread everything! :)
